On 2nd October, the 10th foundation day of our Breast Cancer Support Group, a half-day programme on ‘Role of Nutrition in Cancer’ was held. Ms. Anjali Nair, Chief Nutritionist, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai was the speaker and Dr. Poornima Bhale chaired the programme held in the auditorium of the Prestige Institute of Management and Research, near Bombay Hospital, Indore.

105 participants attended the programme meant for: (a) cancer patients and their care givers, giving them information on how to manage nutrition during treatment, (ii) the lay public on the role of diet & life style in the prevention of cancer, (iii) students of nutrition and dietetics.
